Challenges of hydropower development in Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan is a country with enormous hydropower resources by the amount of which it is ranked 3rd among the CIS countries after Russia and Tajikistan. However, despite significant hydropower resources capable of giving strong impulse to economic development of Kyrgyzstan, our country has yet to benefit from its natural wealth.
