IBC Executive Director spoke at the regional conference in Seoul

IBC Executive Director Askar Sydykov was a guest speaker from Kyrgyzstan at the three-day 9th Regional Conference of the ADB/OECD Anti-Corruption Initiative for Asia and the Pacific hosted by the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission of Korea and held in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

About 100 representatives comprising high-level anti-corruption officials, justices, auditors, prosecutors and other law enforcement officers and civil society organizations of the Initiative’s 29 member countries attended the “Nurturing an Anti-Corruption Culture in the Asia-Pacific Region” Conference in Seoul, South Korea on Novemner 15-17.

Prime Minister of South Korea Lee Nak-yeon welcomed the participants. Askar Sydykov informed on the Kyrgyz business community’s participation in establishing a transparent and fair business environment, as well as about the ways public and private sectors could cooperate in developing and implementing policies to combat corruption.
