IBC Deputy Executive Director spoke on mining issues at a meeting of the Business Development and Investment Council under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. The IBC representative stressed the need to apply commensurate compensation measures for the cutting of valuable tree species, as well as to speed up the implementation of the previous Council’s decisions to revise the rates for environmental pollution charges and to adopt a draft regulatory act on the approval of acceptable standards for the cost of compensation for agricultural losses.
