Kyrgyz Investment Forum held in London

On June 28, the second annual Kyrgyz Investment Forum entitled "The Kyrgyz Republic - Central Asia's next emerging market" was held in London.

The forum was hosted by the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and Chaarat Gold Holdings (CGH), the AIM quoted exploration and development company with assets in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Gulnara Iskakova, Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic, Martin Andersson, CGH Chairman, and Natasha Khanjenkova, EBRD Managing Director, delivered welcome speashes.

"We are delighted to co-host the second annual Kyrgyz Investment Forum following the success of the inaugural event in 2017. The calibre of the speakers reinforces the Kyrgyz Republic's ambition to position itself as a preferred investment destination in Central Asia," Martin Andersson said expressinggratitude to the EBRD team in both Bishkek and London for their considerable support.

IBC Executive Director Askar Sydykov and British Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Robin Ord-Smith, MVO, told the forum participants about Kyrgyzstan’s investment opportunities.

Askar Sydykov spoke at both forum session – on investment perspective and on new emerging markets, IT, and social entrepreneurship. He also moderated panel discussions on integration processes in CA region, particularly the Kyrgyz Republic.

Ulan Kachkynbekov, Chairman of the International Business Council, CEO of Highland Exploration LLC, informed on mining sector of Kyrgyzstan, and Nazira Beishenalieva, Chairwoman of Bank of Asia, spoke about the first private equity fund in the Kyrgyz Republic.
