Many of us flew at least once by air, but did not even think about who cooked the delicious dishes offered during the flight. We also know that large companies often use air freight services.
The Manas Management Company (MMC) kindly arranged an excursion to the place where air passengers do not travel – exclusively for the IBC Economic Journalism Club members. The MMC President Asan Toktosunov and Commercial Director Adilet Nurkhaliyev greeted the guests. Then Director of the Air and Cargo Center Askar Osmonaliev showed the guests the center, telling how its services work. We were surprised with modern equipment and high technologies applied there.
Saltanat Joldoshpayeva, Director of the company's In-Flight Catering Center, showed the sterile conditions in which the dishes are cooked and explained how the strict international requirements are observed. Before visiting the center, we carried out all the necessary hygiene procedures, including dressing in robes, hats and shoe covers.
At the end of the visit Mirlan Begaliyev, Board member of the Manas International Airport (MIA) OJSC and Director of the Bishkek MIA branch, spoke about the MMC achievements, that recently celebrated its 20th anniversary.
Then we were invited to try the dishes the Catering Center cooks for the airlines’ orders. Everything was delicious!
