Export Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2019-2022 approved

On December 20 Program for the Development of Export of the Kyrgyz Republic for 2019-2022, as well as the Plan of Measures for its implementation were approved by the Government Resolution No. 596.

The program is focused on taking measures to increase the export of the sectors with the greatest export potential including the clothing industry, processing of fruits and vegetables, the dairy industry, green and innovative instrument-making industry. The program also includes three cross-sectoral areas – access to finance, export promotion and quality infrastructure.

From January 1, 2019, a moratorium on inspections of business entities will be introduced

On December 18, the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Mukhammedkaiy Abylgaziev, held a meeting with the heads of the inspection bodies. At the meeting he signed a Government Resolution “On the introduction of a temporary ban (moratorium) on conducting inspections of business entities”.

The moratorium comes into force on January 1, 2019 and will be valid until January 1, 2021.

The proposed moratorium is aimed at encouraging state bodies to move to more modern ways of interacting with the business.

Bill on ratification of the Agreement on the labeling of goods by identification means in the EAEU approved

On December 20, the deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh approved the second reading of the draft law “On ratification of the Agreement on the labeling of goods by means of identification in the Eurasian Economic Union, signed on February 2, 2018 in Almaty”.
