Kyrgyz business community meets with high-ranking guests from Turkey

On January 21, representatives of Kyrgyzstan's business community met with guests from the Republic of Turkey at the Investment Promotion and Protection Agency of the Kyrgyz Republic.

IBC Executive Director Askar Sydykov attended the meeting.

At the invitation of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Jeenbekov, Vice-Chairman of the Justice and Development Party of Turkey, Jevdet Yılmaz (Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey and Minister of Development Turkey in 2011-2016) and Lutfi Elwan, Turkish Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Development of Turkey, Minister of Transport, Shipping and Communications of Turkey in 2013-2018, visited Kyrgyzstan.

The meeting participants discussed the state of the investment climate and business environment in the country, stressing the importance of developing mutual cooperation, expanding business relations between the two countries and attracting investment.

Business representatives informed on possible areas of investment in the economy of Kyrgyzstan, including the mining industry, agriculture and food processing, energy, and healthcare.
