How to create a platform for communication between the business, government agencies, potential employers and orphans, graduates of boarding schools, vocational schools and universities?

In Kyrgyzstan, about 12 thousand children are brought up in orphanages, of which 10% are full orphans.

“Orphans who find themselves in a difficult life situation, are deprived of the support of parents and loved ones. They experience great life difficulties. After graduation, they face housing problems and they have no job, so no opportunity to start a family. In the big world, they are left alone with their problems without any support,” said parliament deputy Makhabat Mavlyanova at a forum held in Bishkek on April 29, 2019.

The participants of the meeting, held at Mavlyanova’s initiative, discussed the problems of orphans in difficult life situations and their possible solutions through employment.

Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, State Personnel Service, the Agency for Primary Vocational Education, international donor organizations, business community, university rectors, as well as students attended the event.

Representatives of the International Business Council participated in the discussions.

MP Mavlyanova urged businesses to more actively support orphans in training at industrial enterprises to develop their skills, and to assist them in social adaptation.
