The Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Committee meeting will be held on June 24

The first meeting of the Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Committee under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic will be held on June 24, 2019.

This was announced by. Daniyar Imanaliev, Head of Strategic Development, Economics and Finance Policy Department of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic, at a press conference held on June 21 in Bishkek.

IBC Executive Director Askar Sydykov took part in the press conference.

The National Council for Sustainable Development decided to establish a Committee whose activities will be aimed at solving issues of industrial development and entrepreneurship in the country. The Committee is intended to be a dialogue platform between the state and the business community of Kyrgyzstan.

The main Committee goal is to actively engage stakeholders in creating favorable conditions for business and improving the investment environment and developing industry.

“Issues of optimizing public administration will be considered, taking into account proposals for investment in industry, providing state support or stimulating the sector, and improving interaction between the business community and government agencies,” added Imanaliev.

The first Committee meeting will consider the current state of the industry, in particular, the processing industry and light industry, existing problematic issues and development prospects.

“We expect that the problems faced by businesspeople and industrial enterprises can be voiced at a high level, with the participation of decision makers. Following the discussions, recommendations and appropriate measures will be taken to provide concrete support to entrepreneurs and businesspeople,” Imanaliev concluded.
