IBC members awarded with Honorary Diplomas on the occasion of Entrepreneur’s Day

The solemn ceremony on the occasion of the celebration of the Entrepreneur’s Day in Kyrgyzstan took place today at Park Hotel Bishkek on September 19.

“Entrepreneurs attract direct investments, start new production, present demanded services, goods, strengthen social infrastructure, pay taxes and create jobs,” said State Secretary of the Economy Ministry Aidin Sharsheev, congratulating entrepreneurs on their professional holiday.

To date, partnerships have been established between the authorities and business associations, and joint work is underway to improve the business environment, conditions have been created for expanding the activities of entrepreneurs in various sectors of the economy and regions of the country, small and medium-sized businesses are developing steadily and successfully, Aidin Sharsheev said.

According to the National Statistical Committee, more than 11.5 thousand small and medium enterprises operate in the country, employing 407 thousand people. The small and medium-sized businesses in the country's total 38% of GDP.

For the development of entrepreneurship in the country, the following initiatives were implemented:

- The introduction of a moratorium on inspections of entrepreneurs by state regulatory authorities from January 1, 2019 to January 1, 2021;

- Adoption of the Government Program on the exports development for 2019-2022;

- Creation of the Project Development Fund;

- Creation of the Business Ombudsman Institution of the Kyrgyz Republic;

- Creation of the Center for Public-Private Partnership, etc.

A Government Program for the development and support of small and medium-sized enterprises for 2019-2023 has been developed.
