Tokmok entrepreneurs propose restricting the illegal import of goods from abroad

he final meeting of the Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Committee under the National Sustainable Development Council of the Kyrgyz Republic with local representatives of entrepreneurship is taking place in Tokmok on November 12.

IBC Executive Director Askar Sydykov, together with representatives of the Business Development and Investment Council and under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic Investment Council discussed current issues of Tokmok entrepreneurs.

During the discussion, the business community raised the following issues:

- Development of the sector of processing agricultural products, in particular, flour, meat products and legumes (soybeans);

- Elaboration of the issue of indicative balance of oil products and the relevant agreements with the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan;

- Restriction of the illegal import of goods from abroad and control over the quality of these products;

- Tariffing of social deductions for individual entrepreneurs, taking into account industry indicators;

- Assistance in the development of sales points abroad, including through the creation of trade and economic bridges between the twin cities of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Russian Federation;

- Simplification of administrative procedures for access to funds of targeted financing for regional development;

- Systematic consultation of small and medium-sized businesses through the creation of entrepreneurship development centers;

- Establishment of reasonable tariffs for rent and utilities in the city markets;

and other issues regarding state regulation of business.

In the framework of the Year of Regional Development and Digitalization of the Country announced by the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Jeenbekov, representatives of the Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Committee held meetings with the regional business community of Kyrgyzstan in all regions of the country from October 20 to November 12, 2019.
