The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic has provided for a postponement of the introduction of certain requirements for operations with commodities containing precious metals.

On April 17, 2020, in order to establish a transitional period and ensure an uninterrupted production process for subsoil use, amendments were made to the Government Resolution “On some issues of conducting operations with commodities containing precious metals” dated September 14, 2017 No. 570.

In particular, requirements for the inspection company in terms of accreditation according to the ISO / IEC 17020 standard have been delayed until September 1, 2020, and the requirement for mandatory membership in the International Federation of Inspection Agencies have been excluded.

Other changes are also foreseen for subcontracts to inspect or test samples of commodities containing precious metals.

The innovations include the recommendations of the Mineral Resources Committee of the International Business Council, previously submitted to the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
