Business needs a transition period to adapt to the e-invoicing system

At the initiative of business associations, the Economy Ministry discussed online the work of a new e-invoicing system on July 22, 2020.

The discussion was attended by Economy Minister Sanjar Mukanbetov, IBC Executive Director Askar Sydykov, representatives of the State Tax Service, the business community and companies – VAT payers.

Due to the introduction of the e-invoicing system from July 1, 2020, many companies – VAT payers has applied to IBC with complaints related to technical errors in the system, Askar Sydykov said. This creates significant obstacles for the normal operation of enterprises in the current situation.

The IBC head proposed to consider the possibility of providing a transitional period of at least six months for the adaptation of the business community to the e-invoicing system.

As a result of the meeting, it was decided that the Economy Ministry would soon discuss the recommendations of the business community with the STS and report the results.
