The Asian Games are the most popular sporting event held every four years among athletes from all over the Asia since 1951. The games governed by Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). In Kyrgyzstan, the Asian Games equated to the Olympic Games. This year, in the competition will take part more than 15 thousand athletes from the 44 countries that are members of the Olympic Council of Asia. Competitions will be shown in 70 countries.

The 2014 Asian Games, officially known as the XVII Asiad is scheduled to take place in Incheon, South Korea from September 19 – October 4.
