Business Kenesh consideres proposals to reduce government regulation

On January 27, 2021, IBC Executive Director Askar Sydykov took part in a meeting of the Business and Entrepreneurship Development Council under the Parliament Speaker.

The meeting participants discussed business proposals to reduce state regulation of business activities, emphasizing the need to analyze and optimize the regulatory legal acts of the Kyrgyz Republic.

“We have considered what laws and legal acts can be directed to loss. Most importantly, there was a proposal for the mandatory coordination of legal and regulatory acts governing business with business associations,” said the IBC head.

The Business and Entrepreneurship Development Council under the Toraga of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament Speaker) of the Kyrgyz Republic was established in February 2017.

The Council was formed in order to strengthen the connection of the Parliament with the business community and ensure dialogue between them.

The main task of the Council is to consolidate the potential of the business environment in the country, increase investment attractiveness, and promote entrepreneurship in Kyrgyzstan. The Council is a platform for the development of proposals and recommendations to the legislation governing entrepreneurial activity, monitoring and analysis of regulatory legal acts in the field of entrepreneurship.

The Council consists of Parliament deputies, representatives of the business community from various sectors of the economy.

The IBC Executive Director is a Council member.
