November 11, 2014

On October 30, 2014 the draft Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic” (on simplifying business entities’ registration and liquidation procedures) came in the Jogorku Kenesh.

The amendments and additions will be introduced into certain laws, including Tax Code, Civil Code, Laws of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Protection of Entrepreneurs’ Rights”, “On State Registration of Legal Entities, Branches (Representative Offices)”, “On Joint-Stock Companies”, “On Business Partnerships and Companies”, etc.

The draft law was prepared in order to simplify business entities’ registration and liquidation procedures (legal entities and individual entrepreneurs), to reduce the periods for document review by state bodies and level of administrative pressure for businesses.

The IBC Executive Director is a member of the Interdepartmental Working Group on Preparation of Recommendations for the Improvement of Investment-Related Legislation (Order of the Government No.

585-r dated 12.12.2012). In 2013 the expert group was created within this initiative, and the IBC with support of its members financed activity of the group. The above mentioned draft law is one of the results of the expert group’s work.
