Business Promotion: Preparing for Global Partnership

On April 25, the U.S. Embassy in the Kyrgyz Republic, in partnership with local entrepreneurs and business associations held a seminar on business promotion "Preparing for a global partnership."

Local entrepreneurs have been taught how to demonstrate to foreign enterprises their potential to be a viable business partner at the international level.

The event was aimed at developing successful entrepreneurship practices and expanding commercial partnerships between Kyrgyz and international companies.

The Embassy invited the speaker from the USA Victoria Silchenko to hold sessions during the weekly program on April 22-26 in Bishkek as part of the program on economic prosperity and entrepreneurship.

Silchenko held sessions on modern tools and technologies, modern sources of start-up capital as accelerators, crowdfunding, venture capital, social entrepreneurship and investments. She and also told about key players and trends, sales art, creating new markets and alternative financing.

The U.S. Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Donald Lu addressed the seminar participants with a welcoming speech. The main idea of President Sooronbai Jeenbekov’s signing a moratorium on business inspections until 2021 was to attract more investment in the country, Ambassador Donald Lu said.
