New EBRD initiative on Small Business Development discussed

IBC took part in a meeting with representatives of DFID and EBRD to discuss the prospects of small and medium-sized businesses development in Kyrgyzstan. The UK Department for International Development (DFID) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) held consultation sessions with beneficiaries to discuss the EBRD’s new initiative on Small Business Development funded by DFID. To develop and enhance the competitiveness of small and medium- sized enterprises (SMEs), the bank will encourage sustainable growth of SMEs, especially small businesses that can eventually become medium- sized companies, through investment and advisory services. The Bank will continue enhancing SMEs’ access to finance.
