Meeting with UNCTAD representatives

IBC Executive Director Temirbek Azhykulov and Chantal Dupasquier, Chief of the Investment Policy Reviews Division on Investment and Enterprise of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), discussed the UNCTAD Review of Investment Policy in Kyrgyzstan. IBC will provide its comments after the discussion of the document. UNCTAD Investment Policy Reviews (IPRs) are intended to help countries improve their investment policies and to familiarize governments and the international private sector with an individual country’s investment environment. IPR of Kyrgyzstan, initiated at the request of the Kyrgyz Government, was conducted through two missions in 2013 and 2014, as well as on the basis of information available to the UNCTAD in September 2014. The mission took into account the views of the private sector, foreign, domestic and bilateral donors and development agencies.
