MRC discusses changes to the law on subsoil use

At a meeting of IBC Mineral Resources Committee, which took place on October 1, IBC Deputy Executive Director Askar Sydykov reported on the progress achieved in resolving issues raised earlier by the Committee members.

The draft law aimed at introducing export customs duties on ores and concentrates of precious metals was rejected by the Kyrgyz President; that the initiative aimed at increasing the certain rates of license withholding payments and bonuses was suspended, as well as about other results.

Committee members discussed the planned changes to the law on subsoil use, in particular, the draft Regulation on land reclamation, the relevant amendments to the Law "On Subsoil" and the introduction of the JORC Code in the Kyrgyz Republic.
