Economy Ministry proposes amendments to the Law “On Subsoil”

On September 25, 2015 Economy Ministry submitted for public discussion the draft bill “On Approval of the Draft Bill “On amendments and additions to the Law “On subsoil”.

The draft bill suggests new necessary and important amendments which would facilitate many of the procedures in licensing of subsoil users.

One of those proposals is the license granting procedure for subsoil use with the “first application” principle. New terms such as “independent expert” are introduced, as well as the norms which will regulate the expert examination procedure. According to the suggested amendments the examination of the technical documentation shall be conducted not only by state authorities, but also accredited experts which would increase the quality of expertise.
