Roundtable on "Development Prospects of the Construction Materials Sector"

The International Business Council (IBC) invites you to participate in a roundtable on the theme: "Development Prospects of the Construction Materials Sector in the Kyrgyz Republic". The event will be conducted by IBC and JIA Business Association with support of the USAID Business Growth Initiative Project (BGI). The meeting will be held on February 24 (Wednesday) at Hyatt Regency Bishkek, Shaiyr Hall. Beginning at 16:30; registration starts at 16:00.

The roundtable will bring together government representatives, the USAID Mission in the Kyrgyz Republic, country's leading construction companies and enterprises - manufacturers of building materials, and companies involved in logistics and marketing.

The results of a survey of construction materials value chain in Kyrgyzstan will be presented at the meeting.

The study surveyed the opinions of all participants in the construction cycle including processing of raw materials, building materials, construction and contracting services, as well as services related to the construction market. More than 300 companies engaged in activities related to the construction industry were involved in the survey.

The survey’s participants will report on their recommendations and proposed programs to improve the quality and safety of construction materials, as well as to create business programs to improve the processing of building materials and contract works.
