IBC will support Gosstroy in drafting the Urban Development Code

On July 12, IBC representatives and Deputy Director of the State Agency for Architecture, Construction and Housing under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic (Gosstroy) Almazbek Abdykarov considered actual issues of the construction industry in Kyrgyzstan.

Gosstroy is currently drafting the Urban Development Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, which is designed to solve the main problems of the construction industry and give impetus to the implementation of effective reforms in urban development.

The document will soon be submitted for public discussion. It is necessary to ensure large-scale and effective public discussions of the document with the involvement of experts and representatives of construction companies, the meeting participants said. As a result, a balanced document should be obtained that would satisfy the needs of both the State and business.

The participants stressed the need to classify the problems of construction companies for each construction site, which will strengthen the qualitative approach in resolving the problems of both an individual company and the entire construction industry.

The meeting decided that the IBC Construction Committee should conduct activity in this area.
