Trade between Kyrgyzstan and the EEU member states has increased by 12.2%

Since the beginning of 2017, trade between Kyrgyzstan and the EEU member states amounted to $1.88 billion, 12.2% more than for the same period in 2016, the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan reports.

Exports has increased by 29.6%, and imports — by 7.3%.

Russia is the major Kyrgyzstan's EEU trade partner (60.4%) followed by Kazakhstan (38%). Kyrgyzstan exports of men's and knitted garments to Russia has increased 1.7-fold, dried fruits — 3.1-fold, onions and garlic — 6.5-fold.

Russia has increased exported poultry 4.2-fold, confectionery products 2.1-fold, and timber 4.8-fold. At the same time, the import of medicines decreased by 6%, sunflower oil by 36.5%, canned fruits and nuts by 57.6%, and paints by 49.7%.

Kyrgyzstan has increased export of glass to Kazakhstan 2.8-fold, clothing — 2.2-fold, mineral and carbonated water — 1.5-fold, and ice cream by 16.3%. Kazakhstan’s import of confectionery products has increased 2.3-fold and rice — 3.5-fold.
