On February 14 the IBC Tourism Committee discussed the need to classify the tourism accommodation and catering establishments in Kyrgyzstan, as well as to train personnel for the tourism industry.
On February 14 the IBC Tourism Committee discussed the need to classify the tourism accommodation and catering establishments in Kyrgyzstan, as well as to train personnel for the tourism industry.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the HoReCa Club, Skills Development Foundation (SDF, the ADB Project), Silk Road Tourism Association, Tourism Department under the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the IBC members and partners.
Committee Chair Raissa Ermakova informed on the Committee’s activities, and HoReCa Club experts Kumbat Asanova and Nadira Turganbaeva presented the classification of tourism accommodation and catering establishments in various countries. The SDF coordinator Rysbek Akynbekov spoke about the training programs including the tourism sphere.
The participants concluded that the tourism accommodation and catering classification, as well as training of personnel are needed not only for the development of small and medium-sized businesses, but for the country's economy as a whole.
