Amendments to the Code on Administrative Liability

On February 22, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Jeenbekov signed the Law "On Amendments to the Code of the Kyrgyz Republic on Administrative Liability." The law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic on January 18, 2018. The law aims to harmonize legislation related to the transfer of certain functions from one government agency to another.

In particular, the State Inspectorate for Metrological Supervision under the Economy Ministry has been liquidated, and its functions have been transferred to the State Inspectorate for Environmental and Technical Safety under the Government. To effectively manage the alcohol industry, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Industry and Land Reclamation will control the production and turnover of ethyl alcohol, alcohol and alcohol-containing products.
