IBC holds its AGM

The Annual General Meeting of the International Business Council was held at Hyatt Regency Bishkek on May 24.

The AGM brought together heads and representatives of leading local and foreign companies, international organizations and diplomatic missions.

IBC Executive Director Askar Sydykov informed on the results of the IBC's activities for 2017.

Upon the IBC suggestion, developers of the draft new version of the Tax Code of the KR extended the period for public discussion of the normative legal acts for one month; the need to transform land for subsoil use was excluded; The Government Regulation on the procedure and conditions for the application of the stabilization regime was adopted; a survey was conducted on the total contribution of gold mining to the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic and the possible impact of fiscal initiatives on it; issuance of work permits to foreign specialists simplified, etc.

IBC Board Chairman Ulan Kachkynbekov presented certificates to new IBC members.

At the end of the official part, IBC members and guests continued to communicate in an informal atmosphere at a buffet table on the pool terrace, enjoying live music of the famous Salt Peanuts jazz band.
