ADB supports industrial parks development in the CAREC region

IBC representatives took part in the Asian Development Bank’s Dissemination Workshop. ADB is currently providing advisory technical assistance aimed at supporting industrial parks development in the CAREC region in both Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

Earlier, ADB conducted several consultation missions to visit some of the free economic zones (FEZs), seek views from FEZ managing companies, and solicit insights from relevant government officials, development partners and other key stakeholders. The Diagnostic Study and the Strategic Framework for the FEZ and industrial parks (IP) development were drafted.

At the Dissemination Workshop, ADB presented the finalized Draft Diagnostic Study and the Strategic Framework, both in English and Russian. Key government officials and representatives of relevant agencies, think tanks, international development organizations, managing companies of five FEZs, and private sector took part in the workshop.
