RIA to the bill on the use of plastic bags considered

The State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, with the participation of IBC and other business associations, discussed the Regulatory Impact Analysis (RIA) to the draft law on the prohibition of the import and use of plastic bags for domestic and industrial purposes.

The meeting participants noted the need to extend the time for the development of the document and take into account all proposals and comments of the business community.

The IBC’s position is based on the indispensability of the use of plastic bags for the production purposes of enterprises. At the same time, IBC supports the ban on the import and use of plastic bags in the recreational and biosphere zones of the Kyrgyz Republic.
