OSCE evaluation mission interested the IBC opinion on the SRR project

At the meeting with the OSCE mission on the results of the project “Systematic Regulatory Review" (SRR), IBC Executive Director Askar Sydykov spoke about the importance of the project for the country and for business.

Within the framework of the project, over 3 thousand regulatory documents were revised for the presence of corruption components, outdated norms, etc. At each stage of the improvement of legislation, the business performed an important role. In particular, the business was involved in the analysis and development of recommendations on legislation The International Business Council acted as a partner in collaboration with business associations.

Askar Sydykov expressed his opinion on the lessons learned from the completed project in order to improve the activities of the following similar projects. In particular, he proposed to more carefully select project experts, and to attract more local consultants who are better familiar with the business environment and business problems in the country.
