Central Asia Barometer PF has joined IBC

We welcome the new member of our association – the Central Asian Barometer PF.

The Central Asia Barometer is an independent non-profit research company, whose mission is to contribute to positive changes in Central Asia by exploring the opinions of people of the region.

The company conducts sociological surveys and opinion polls in five Central Asia countries – Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, a region with a total population of more than 65 million people. Main topics of Company’s researches are:

• Wellbeing: satisfaction level, households’ income, expectations, perception of security, employment level, sources of news and information, Internet usage, connectivity to social media. Ownership of media devices (computer, mobile and landline telephones, tablets);

• National and ethnic self-identification;

• Economy: top national problems, country and household’s economic performance;

• Governance: effectiveness of government institutions, confidence level, quality of public services, attitudes towards democracy, etc;

• Attitudes toward foreign countries and leaders, ratings of national political leaders, parties and vote intentions;

• Religious affiliations;

• Perceptions of terrorism and violent extremism.
