Austrian business delegation visits Kyrgyzstan

Katharina Wieser, Director of the Department for Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia of the Federal Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Austria, visited Kyrgyzstan.

During her visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, Ms. Katharina Wieser was accompanied by an Austrian business delegation operating in the fields of IT technologies, hydropower and various industries, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.

At the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry, a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation was discussed. Ways to further expand bilateral economic cooperation will be considered at the next meeting of the Kyrgyz-Austrian intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation in 2020 and during regular political consultations.

The meeting also discussed issues of cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the European Union, including the interaction of countries in the framework of the new EU-CA Strategy.

On September 26, a reception was held at the Orion Hotel on the occasion of the visit of Ms. Katharina Wieser and the Austrian delegation to the Kyrgyz Republic.
