Prime Minister: Government anti-crisis plan should include proposals from the business community

The anti-crisis plan should contain real opportunities and be as effective as possible.

This was stated by the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziev at a Parliament meeting on April 30, 2020.

About 14 billion soms will be allocated to support business, but these funds are not enough, and the amount should be doubled, the Prime Minister said.

The forecasted shortfall in the state budget is about 30 billion soms. Negotiations were initiated with international institutions and foreign partners. To date, agreements have been reached on support of $456 million.

Negotiations with partners will continue and budget expenditures will be reduced to mobilize internal reserves. Specific figures will be given in the anti-crisis budget.

The government plan should include proposals from еру business community, the Prime Minister said.

“It is necessary to take into account the capabilities of the business itself. There must be an understanding that the current situation is not the burden on the Government alone. All proposals will be openly discussed with the business community and Parliament,” said Abylgaziev.
