The inflow of foreign investment in Kyrgyzstan in 2019, excluding the outflow, reached almost $7.3 billion, 4.9% more than in 2018.
The inflow of foreign investment in Kyrgyzstan in 2019, excluding the outflow, reached almost $7.3 billion, 4.9% more than in 2018.
Traditionally for recent years, most of the investments (76%) came from countries outside the CIS. reports the National Statistical Committee of the Kyrgyz Republic in its annual publication "Kyrgyzstan in Figures".
Other investments (not direct and not portfolio) exceeded $6.1 billion. The volume of foreign direct investment amounted to $1 billion, portfolio investments - $500 thousand, and grants – $54.6 million.
China (31.4%) and Canada (24.1%) were the largest countries in terms of FDI.
