Requirements for entry into Kyrgyzstan for citizens of foreign states simplified

The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic has simplified the requirements for entry into the country for citizens of foreign states and stateless persons.

The corresponding changes have been made to the order of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic dated March 17, 2020 No. 84-r, the Government’s Press Office reported.

In accordance with the amendments, under the conditions of restrictive measures on the admission of foreign citizens and stateless persons to Kyrgyzstan, taken in order to ensure the protection of public health and prevent the spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the following categories of foreign citizens and stateless persons may additionally enter the Kyrgyz Republic:

- Citizens of foreign countries and stateless persons studying in higher educational institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic (upon presentation of a certificate from the place of study);

- Citizens of foreign states and stateless persons who have a permanent residence permit in the Kyrgyz Republic;

- Citizens of foreign states and stateless persons sent for treatment to medical institutions in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic (with documentary confirmation);

- Citizens of foreign states and stateless persons who go to the funeral of close relatives (subject to documentary confirmation of close family ties and the fact of death).

In addition, as part of the implementation of economic measures aimed at minimizing the consequences related to the spread of coronavirus in the Kyrgyz Republic, a decision was made to gradually resume the passage of foreign citizens.

Depending on the stabilization of the epidemiological situation, the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic will approve the corresponding List of Foreign States, which will be reviewed twice a month, on the first and fifteenth days.

Thus, citizens of foreign states included in the List can cross the border of the Kyrgyz Republic in the manner prescribed by the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic.
