President Jeenbekov is ready to resign from the post of President of the Kyrgyz Republic as soon as the country embarks on the path of legality
On October 9, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Jeenbekov made an appeal to the Kyrgyz people in connection with the current political situation in the country.
It is necessary to dismiss the Prime Minister and the Government members who worked before the crisis, which will create a legal basis for new appointments. To legitimize the appointment of a new Prime Minister and members of the Government, a resolution of the Jogorku Kenesh and a Presidential Decree are required.
“I am ready to sign the corresponding Decrees, and I am waiting for the resolutions of the Jogorku Kenesh,” he said.
In order for parliamentarians to fulfill their duties, law enforcement agencies must ensure the safety of deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh.
After the legitimate leaders of the executive authorities are approved and the country takes the path of legality, Jeenbekov is ready to leave the post of President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
He called on all political forces to maintain peace and tranquility in the country, not to divide the people and not to split the society.
