IBC expresses condolences to the families of the victims and provides assistance to Batken residents
The International Business Council expresses deep condolences to the families and friends of those killed in the April 29-30 armed conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border in Batken oblast.
The International Business Council expresses deep condolences to the families and friends of those killed in the April 29-30 armed conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border in Batken oblast.
May 1-2 are declared as days of national mourning in Kyrgyzstan. The armed conflict on the border led to numerous casualties, as well as significant property damage to civilians and legal entities.
To support the affected residents of the Batken oblast, the IBC office on April 30 transferred a one-day salary to the fund of the plenipotentiary representative of the Government of the KR in the Batken oblast. IBC also continues to collect humanitarian aid for the Batken residents. IBC hopes for an early peaceful settlement of the conflict.
As we have already reported, on the initiative of the business community on April 30, the Ministry of Economic Finance discussed possible measures to help victims of the conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border.
Due to requests from legal entities and individuals to provide support to the population affected the conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border, the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic opened a special account “Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the GKR in Batken Oblast” to accumulate funds received on a voluntary basis.
Legal entities and individuals wishing to transfer funds on a voluntary basis to provide support to the population of the Batken oblast can transfer funds to the following accounts:
