On April 18, 2023, Deputy Executive Director of the International Business Council Janabil Davletbaev took part in the Birinchi Radio program to discuss the Business Development Program of the Kyrgyz Republic until 2026 and the Action Plan of the Cabinet of Ministers for the implementation of this program.
The discussion was also attended by the Business Ombudsman of Kyrgyzstan Nurlan Musuraliyev and Executive Director of the JIA Business Association Azzambek Jeenbay uulu,
The IBC representative spoke about the government measures to assist business development, emphasizing that many of the recommendations of the Cabinet of Ministers were adopted taking into account the opinion of business.
“It is important that the business development program and its implementation plan detail what medium-term results the business community expects from the government,” Davletbayev said.
According to him, participation of business in decision-making is envisaged by delegating certain services to business. For example, this may be related to licensing and permitting activities, with other certification issues. Among measures to strengthen the public-private dialogue, IBC proposes to establish a Council on Improvement of the Investment Climate in the Kyrgyz Republic under the President of the country.
The meeting participants also discussed the mechanisms of interaction between business and the state in the process of adopting laws and regulations. The issues of protecting entrepreneurs in criminal proceedings were considered.
IBC Deputy Head expressed the hope that the discussed documents would not remain on paper and that many measures necessary for business would be implemented. In turn, IBC, like other business associations, is ready to provide all possible assistance in their implementation.
