A Meeting Was Held Between Business Representatives and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Kyrgyz Republic

On June 3, 2026, the International Business Council (IBC), together with the Honorary Consulate of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Kyrgyz Republic, held a meeting between representatives of IBC member companies and H.E. Niko Schermers, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Kyrgyz Republic. The meeting was attended by representatives of companies from various sectors of the economy, including banking and finance, consulting and legal services, manufacturing, trade, and other industries interested in developing cooperation with European partners. The event served as a platform for open dialogue between IBC members and the Dutch diplomatic mission on developing trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Kingdom of the Netherlands. During the meeting, participants discussed prospects for expanding trade and economic cooperation, developing investment ties, opportunities for cooperation with Dutch companies, and attracting foreign investment into priority sectors of Kyrgyzstan's economy. Particular attention was given to prospects for implementing joint projects and strengthening business contacts between representatives of the two countries. Mr. Schermers expressed his readiness to support the further development of economic cooperation between the business communities of Kyrgyzstan and the Netherlands, and to back initiatives aimed at strengthening partnership ties between the private sectors of the two countries. Holding such meetings is part of the IBC's efforts to develop constructive dialogue between Kyrgyzstan's business community and international partners, as well as to create additional opportunities for expanding business cooperation and attracting investment. The IBC will continue to promote direct dialogue between Kyrgyzstan's business representatives and foreign partners, creating opportunities to expand international cooperation, attract investment, and strengthen business ties.
