Askar Sydykov, Executive Director of the International Business Council, held a working meeting with the management of AeroStan, a recent IBC member. During the meeting, the current state of the aviation industry, key barriers to its development, and potential areas of cooperation within the IBC were discussed.

AeroStan specializes in air transportation and international logistics, working with international partners and contributing to the development of services exports and the aviation potential of the Kyrgyz Republic. The company adheres to international safety standards and is committed to the sustainable development of the industry.

During the meeting, AeroStan representatives identified a number of systemic problems in the aviation market, including restrictions under Article 83 of the Air Code of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding the employment of foreign specialists. According to the business community, the established two-year term of employment contracts with foreign specialists complicates long-term personnel planning, the transfer of experience, and ensuring the stable and safe operation of aircraft.

Special attention was paid to the shortage of qualified personnel and the lack of modern flight simulators in the country, which forces pilots to undergo training abroad and creates additional difficulties due to visa restrictions. The rising cost of aviation fuel and limited competition in the supply market, as well as difficulties in customs regulations for the import of aircraft parts, were also discussed.

Following the meeting, Askar Sydykov noted that IBC views the aviation industry as a strategically important economic sector and intends to facilitate the development of systemic solutions to these issues in collaboration with government agencies. IBC will continue to support AeroStan and other aviation market participants, promoting the development of a competitive, safe, and sustainable aviation industry in the Kyrgyz Republic.
