On February 22, 2019, the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Jeenbekov signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On ratification of the Agreement on the labeling of goods by means of identification in the Eurasian Economic Union, signed on February 2, 2018 in Almaty”.

The Agreement aims to conduct a coordinated policy in the field of labeling goods with means of identification, ensuring the legal turnover of goods within the Eurasian Economic Union and protecting consumer rights.

The agreement defines the procedure for marking goods with unified identification tools within the EAEU. The list of goods subject to marking by means of identification was approved by the decision of the Eurasian Economic Commission Council.

On February 19, 2019, the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic approved the composition of the Anti-Corruption Council under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Council is chaired by the Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic. The structure included members of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, representatives of the business community and the civil sector.

On February 21, 2019, the State Personnel Service of the Kyrgyz Republic submitted for public discussion the draft Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic (to the Laws of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Countering Corruption”, “On State Civil Service and Municipal Service”)”.

This draft law was developed to implement the Decision of the Security Council of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Actual Measures to Combat Corruption in the Judicial, Supervisory and Law Enforcement Agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic” dated February 8, 2018 No. 1.

On February 18, 2019, the State Agency for Architecture, Construction and Housing and Public Utilities under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic submitted for public discussion a draft Resolution of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic “On approval of construction standards of the Kyrgyz Republic Building Regulations KR 22-01:2018 “Assessment of seismic stability of buildings of the existing buildings.”

The NLA is designed to ensure the reliability and seismic resistance of buildings of the existing building during the reconstruction, the resumption of construction, technical re-equipment, and major repairs of buildings and structures, as well as to assess the seismic resistance of the existing building, reducing damage from an earthquake.

On February 20, 2019, the Parliament reviewed the consolidated draft Law “On Amendments to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Public Procurement” in the second reading. The law was drafted in order to further develop competition in tenders, attract more participants from local suppliers to participate in tenders for public procurement.
