IBC and pharmaceutical market participants consolidate efforts

The International Business Council organized a meeting with representatives of foreign pharmaceutical manufacturers to discuss areas of joint activities.

The meeting participants discussed such important issues in the context of a pandemic as coordinating efforts to protect the interests of manufacturers of medicines and medical devices, as well as improving legislation regulating the circulation of medicines and products.

IBC Executive Director Askar Sydykov made a presentation on the IBC activities. The participants of the pharmaceutical market learned about directions the association works, including its activities in a pandemic. At the IBC initiative, an independent expert platform is operating in Bishkek – the Expert Advisory Council on minimizing the consequences of COVID-19 in Kyrgyzstan.

Representatives of pharmaceutical companies raised topical issues of regulating their activities, including issues related to the integration into national legislation of international treaties and acts that constitute the EAEU law.

The participants in the meeting decided to consider the possibility of joining the association in order to consolidate efforts to develop the pharmaceutical industry in the country.
