The domestic mining and geological complex is now represented by capital-intensive mining projects in Kyrgyzstan.

Total payments to the budget and social payments from the development of deposits exceed 18 billion soms said Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Ulukbek Maripov on March 3, congratulating geologists on their professional holiday, the Geologist Day.

Together with geologists, this holiday is celebrated by drillers, explosives technicians, geophysicists, mine surveyors, miners and physical geographers — everyone involved in geology as an industry.

When new deposits are launched in the regions, the issues of infrastructure development, employment of the local population, attraction of small and medium-sized businesses to support the life of the developed deposits are resolved, thereby revitalizing the socio-economic development of the regions and increasing the export potential of the country as a whole, said the Prime Minister.

Global trends in the development of the mining industry stimulate the introduction of new management approaches, the use of modern technologies and the conduct of large-scale and systemic geological studies at the deposits of Kyrgyzstan.

Along with the creation of conditions for attracting investments in the subsoil use, it is necessary to strive for conscientious investors to invest in the development of the mineral resource base, Maripov said.

At the state level, it is proposed to create a specific program of conceptual and strategic vision for the development of the industry in the long term, disclosing its potential with minimal impact on the environment.
