A meeting of the Business and Entrepreneurship Development Council under the Parliament Speaker of the Kyrgyz Republic was held on April 5, 2022.

The event chaired by Speaker Talant Mamytov was attended by MPs, representatives of state bodies and business associations. IBC head Askar Sydykov is a Business Kenesh member.

The Business and Entrepreneurship Development Council (Business Kenesh) was established in 2017 in order to strengthen the interaction of the Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) with the business community.

“We need to actively discuss incoming proposals from businesses and, if necessary, amend the laws. Initiatives to support and develop the private sector are of particular importance to us. Therefore, we are interested in the opinion of each Council member,” Mamytov said.

The meeting participants discussed the activities and future plans of the Council, as well as the agenda for the next meeting.

They also considered pros and cons of the new Tax Code. When adopting the Tax Code, more than 300 recommendations were considered, most of which were taken into account. However, it is necessary to continue to monitor the implementation of this document and, if necessary, make adjustments.
