On September 30, 2014 the Ministry of Economy submitted for public discussion the

draft Regulation of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Approval of the Strategy of Halal Industry

Development in the Kyrgyz Republic”.

The draft Regulation was prepared in order to

develop Halal Industry and to enhance the domestic brand Halal in internal and

international markets as well as to create conditions taking into account demand and

national economy level in accordance with international requirements.

According to the explanatory note the market of halal products attracts many producers

who emphasize that their products meet not only religious but modern ecological requirements.

It was pointed out that taking into account strong potential and ecologically clean origin of most part of agricultural raw materials made in Kyrgyzstan and favorable tax treatment of agricultural sector halal industry development will have good prospects.
