On October 23, 2014 the State Service for Intellectual Property and Innovations under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic submitted for public discussion the draft Law “On Amendments and Additions to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Legal Protection of Selective Inventions”.
According to the explanatory note the draft law was prepared in order to bring the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic into compliance with the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union within the entry of the Kyrgyz Republic into the Single Economic Space of the Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation. The draft law was also designed to bring the legislation into compliance with the International Convention for Protection of New Varieties of Plants the participant of which is the Kyrgyz Republic and with the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic”.
