IBC Executive Director Askar Sydykov informed about problems of import and export of ores, concentrates and waste containing precious metals at the Investment Council meeting chaired by Prime Minister Mukhammedkaly Abylgaziyev.

The draft regulatory legal act on amendments and additions to the procedure for export and import of the mentioned concentrates, submitted for public discussion, does not take into account the positions of mining enterprises, the IBC head said. Combining the functions of sampling and their analysis will lead to a deterioration of the business environment, as well as a significant increase in the cost of these procedures, the business community believes.

IBC proposes not to rush to make a decision on this issue and to consider the possibility of excluding from the draft resolution the unification of the functions of the inspection of sampling and analysis of samples for inspection companies and laboratories, as well as an increase in the time for issuing technical opinions.
