Business Kenesh discusses the bill on amendments to the Tax Code

On January 20, 2020, an extraordinary meeting of the Business and Entrepreneurship Development Council under the Parliament Speaker of the Kyrgyz Republic (Business Kenesh) was held.

The discussions were attended by representatives of the Office of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Economy Ministry, the State Tax Service under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as the country's business community.

The meeting participants discussed the draft Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Amending Certain Legislative Acts of the Kyrgyz Republic (the Tax Code and the Code on Violations).

The opinion of the business community was expressed by Gulnara Uskenbaeva, Chairperson of the Association of Suppliers (distributors and manufacturers), Arthur Tashibekov, Executive Director of the Association of Markets, Trade and Services in Kyrgyzstan, Tatyana Kim, Board Chair of the Chamber of Tax Consultants of the Kyrgyz Republic, and Sapar Asanov, President of the Association of Light Enterprises Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic (Legprom).

MP Gulshat Asylbaeva spoke on behalf of the initiators of the bill.

Representative of the International Business Council is a Council member.

The Business and Entrepreneurship Development Council under the Parliament Speaker of the Kyrgyz Republic (Business Kenesh) is an advisory body on issues of business law, economics and investment. The Council was formed to strengthen the connection of the Parliament with the business community and ensure dialogue between them.

The main task of the Council is to consolidate the potential of the business environment in the country, increase investment attractiveness, and promote entrepreneurship in Kyrgyzstan. The Council is an effective platform for developing proposals and recommendations to the legislation regulating entrepreneurial activities, monitoring and analysis of regulatory legal acts in the field of entrepreneurship.

Toraga (Parliament Speaker) Dastanbek Jumabekov id the Council Chairman. MP Abdyvakhap Nurbaev and CCI President Marat Sharshekeyev are the vice-chairmen.

The Council consists of Parliament deputies and representatives of the business community (large, medium and small) from almost all sectors of the economy.
