NRGI Eurasia Program is organizing a 5-day Youth Governance Workshop to take place in Lviv, Ukraine in the first week of November.

The Natural Resource Governance Institute (NRGI) helps people to realize the benefits of their countries’ endowments of oil, gas and minerals. The NRGI does this through technical advice, advocacy, applied research, policy analysis, and capacity development. The NRGI works with innovative agents of change within government ministries, civil society, the media, legislatures, the private sector, and international institutions to promote accountable and effective governance in the extractive industries.

The goal of the workshop is to bring together different young thinkers across Eurasia region to develop necessary skills for promotion of innovative ideas into national governance agenda.

Participants will assume themselves as “public entrepreneurs” and shape their ideas into pilot projects or long term initiatives. They can choose any burning issue of broader governance, public policy and democracy, but also of social policy and extractive governance. The workshop is organized for 18-30 year old young English-speaking leaders with at least 3-year experience with civil society, government, mass media and business.

Participants will be coming from Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Ukraine. CVs and letters of intent should be sent to Rashad Shirinov at: shirinrashad@gmail.com by 25 September 2017.
